Amino Resins are created by formation of formaldehyde with amino compounds likes melamine, benzoguanamine, or urea then undergoing a condensation reaction and etherification with aliphatic monohydric alcohol. They are used as curing agents for thermosetting coatings. Amino resins are thermosetting resins with excellent tensile strength, hardness, and impact resistance, and they are used as molding materials. Amino resins demonstrate excellent functions that increase coating film hardness and solvent resistance in combination with alkyd resins, acrylic resins, polyester resins, and epoxy ester resins.

Amino resins are contains properties like,

Applications
As reference to above properties Amino resins provide a wide variety of useful products. Adhesive, the largest single market, are used to make plywood, chipboard, and sawdust board. Other types are used to make laminated wood beams, parquet flooring and for furniture assembly. Aminoplasts and other thermosetting plastics are molded by an automatic injection molding process similar to that used for thermoplastics. The great advantage of injection molding is that  it eliminates manual labor costs, thereby allowing amino resins to better complete with thermoplastics.
